5000 Claims Since the PACT Act Passed

A spokeswoman for the Judge Advocate General of the Navy’s Tort Claims Unit in Norfolk, Virginia said in an email to Reuters that “approximately 5,000” administrative claims have been filed since the legislation was signed. On the day the PACT Act was signed, 2,900 administrative claims were filed with JAG. Filing an administrative claim is a mandatory first step for all Camp Lejeune claimants seeking compensation under the new law.
